John D. Stanton  1971 RAY
One of Pacific’s most powerful and inspirational student leaders during the early years of the 1970’s. Some of his accomplishments include the following: ASUOP vice president, Black Students Union president, Community Involvement planning committee, coordinator for the local high school Black Students Union conferences, Circle K and a university cheerleader.

Charles Washington 1954 COP, 1960 COP
The late Charlie Washington earned his BA and MA degrees in Physical Education from the College of the Pacific in 1954 and 1960, respectively. A star football player, he was inducted to the Pacific Athletic Hall of Fame in 1985, and he received the Amos Alonzo Stagg Award in 1994. After graduation, he became the first African-American high school varsity football coach in Northern California when he took the position at Stockton’s Edison High School in 1965, and went on to win more games than any other prep football coach in Northern California.
